Superstar! Idol Project
Welcome to the Crimson Comet Talent Agency, where we make everyone’s dream come true! Thanks to the overwhelming success of the likes of ST*RISH, *’s and other outstanding entertainers, we have no shortage of aspiring stars seeking their own 15 minutes of fame. So many, in fact, that we’re running out of capable managers and producers for them! And here’s where we hope you can step in. Groom a budding idol and help them reach stardom! What could be more rewarding than helping someone realize their dream? Huh? You’re going to need more than just that? grumbles…
Available Characters | |||||||||||||||
Pick a character, any character! Mascots, monsters, magical boys, Vocaloid divas, you name them, we got (most of) them. Not to worry if someone else was a step early and had claimed your preferred character - duplicates are a-okay and you may still apply for them. Original characters will only be accepted if their images are drawn by yourself or by an artist you have commissioned. Please read on for further information regarding this. The following characters are generally not available though:

Ranks | |||||||||||||||
Just like you, your character has to climb the ladder to success. Thankfully, their ladder is a lot shorter! New idols start out at the rank N. The next rank is R, followed by SR, UR and EX. EX is the highest rank any character can attain.
Tasks & Jobs | |||||||||||||||
We all know what they say about success and the long road there. What’s it going to take for your character to get to that esteemed EX rank?
The tasks are not cumulative, so you’re going to have to complete another 150 trades, participate in another 10 game rounds, master another 3 decks...to get to the next rank and so on. For trading requirements, the number of players you trade with does not matter. You can trade 100 cards with one really close trading buddy, if you like. Giving away cards does not count towards these trade requirements. For gaming requirements, you may participate in any number of weekly, biweekly, monthly games. No limits here as long as you hit the minimum number of game participation we need from you! For mastery requirements, special and puzzle deck masteries count as 1 mastery for simplicity’s sake. You can master any number of regular, special and puzzle decks as you please - once again, no limits here. As for when your progress starts to count towards the requirements, you may only count trades/games/masteries done after you’ve received your idol card. PM the mod if you have not yet received your card after 5 days.
Benefits & Idol Rewards
Kept you waiting for the most important bit, didn’t we? What’s in it for you if you help your character reach for the stars?
These rewards are not stackable as well - with a SR rank character, you’re “only” getting 5 random cards and 1 random music note, and none of the rewards from the lower ranks. Idol rewards can also only be collected once a month. If you missed your rewards for the month, you can’t claim for that month anymore. But to make it easy for you and us, you can claim your rewards whenever a new calendar month starts. That means if you claimed your rewards on 31 July, feel free to claim again on 01 August. Qn: Your idol levelled up and you've already claimed idol rewards for that month! Can you claim the new rewards once they've levelled up? Ans: You may only start claiming rewards for the new rank from next month onwards. Qn: What if your character levelled up two or more times in the same month? Can you still claim rewards for each new rank for that month? Ans: Yes. For example, your idol was initially N rank. Within the month, you managed to level your idol to SR rank. There's 2 ways this can go:
This is the only exception to the monthly reward collection rule.
Number of Idols per Player
Our idol hopefuls need your undivided attention! That means you can only have one active idol at any time. Qn: So what happens then when your character has reached the highest rank and achieved worldwide fame? Ans: You get two choices:
Qn: Your character is now an EX-rank idol and you’ve decided to work on a new idol! But you’re so attached to your character that you want to pick them again as your next idol. Is that doable? Ans: Absolutely! Aim for Madison Square next! You’re free to apply for the same character as many times as you want. We’d prefer if you could use a different image for the character’s next idol card, however. Qn: On the flipside, what are your choices if things just aren’t working out between you and your chosen character? Ans: If you’ve changed your mind and want to pick a new character, you can drop your current idol and pick a different one. Please note that your progress will be reset, and you have to start from scratch, levelling up your new character. As explained above, if you’ve already collected the idol rewards before retiring the old idol, you can’t collect idol rewards again for the new character.
On Photoshoots and Images
Here at Crimson Comet, we believe that good promotion makes a world of difference! When you apply for a character, you’ll receive an idol card with their image. Every time your character levels up, you’re given the chance to update their image with a different one. That means you can get up to 5 different idol cards of the same character, wow! If you’re not sure what kind of photos and images you should use to represent your character, here’re a couple of guidelines to get you started:
These are not hard-and-fast rules, so feel free to ask if you’re not sure or need a bit of leeway. All past and existing idol cards belonging to various players can be found here.
