I connect to music extremely strongly. I'm pretty much always looking for meaning in lyrics or musical patterns or what have you. With that said I'll try to keep this comment short because nobody wants to hear me go on and on about every song/band I love lol.

Vienna Teng is my favorite singer/songwriter of any kind, ever. Anybody who knows anything about me knows this fact. Her music has had a phenomenal effect on both me and my writing, and I was so so lucky to go and see her perform last year. I even got to meet her in person and get an autograph/picture, it was amazing. I couldn't pick a favorite song of hers or one I particularly connect to in any way if you paid me a million bucks. Instead, I'll try to pick one off of all her albums that I connect to -- Enough to Go By, Harbor, Love Turns 40, Grandmother Song, Level Up. All of these describe my personality/relationship with my family/desire to grow, though I've really been feelin' Level Up lately. Though there are other songs on that album that -- no I have to stop lol.

By contrast, Splashdown is my go-to "depression band". Whenever I'm feeling particularly upset or down, their music really speaks to me. Deserter is probably the one that really comes close to describing one of ~those moods, but 50% is a close runner up.

Crooked Teeth by Death Cab for Cutie was a song I listened to literally endlessly in high school, I couldn't get enough of it. Even now, listening to a couple bars to write this comment, I can see myself in yearbook class at the computer, doing type things.

I'll stop myself here because seriously, I could go on forever and that Vienna Teng paragraph is long enough... I'd like kuusoumesorogiwi14, please!
