♪ Prejoin Day 7: Soundtrack of your life
Have you ever heard a song and thought to yourself "WHOA this song is so me" whether you seriously felt a connection to the lyrics or jokingly declared it your theme song, either one is completely welcome here. For this discussion post, all you need to do is link to songs that you would include on your own personal soundtrack. You can give as little or as big of an explanation for your choices as you want to.
Some ideas to include here would be:
Songs that make you think back to events or experiences you've had in the past.
Songs that help describe your feelings toward any person, place, or thing.
Songs that you just think are cool in general and wish you could have as your theme song(s).
Alternatively, give me songs that make you feel things. Whether it happy, sad, motivated, tired, anything. Unlike the first option, you don't have to feel any sort of personal connection to these songs.
For this game only, absolutely any song is allowed. It doesn't have to be a song qualified for a deck here at Tones. The songs can be in any language, even instrumental if you so choose, so don't hold back!
You can link up to 5 songs total, and you'll win 2 random cards per song, with an additional 2 random cards if you link the max of 5 songs. Making your total possible reward here 12 random cards. You do not have to link to your prize thread, as this post will be unscreened.
Special bonus since it's Christmas Eve and will be Christmas in a matter of minutes now: Regardless of how many songs you link, you're free to ask for one choice card of any card type. Kupenga - Strangely Arousing (EN): I really love this song, I got this song around the time I had to move again, and It wasn't a very good time, lbh. But this song just so happy (even though its also about like change). Its not happy in Lyrics I guess, but the beat is just so asldkfjasdf blah can't explain it.
Piece of My Soul - WANDS (JP) You know when you listen to a band, and they remind you of when you were growing up? Thats the WANDS for me. This is one of the oldest Songs from them I remember listening to! When I think of it, I remember things from when I was like a little kid in the 90s, and how buildings used to look (everything is to modern!!!). Such a fun karaoke song too!
TRIPOD BABY - M-Flo (JP): This came out When I was in Middleschool, my care factor dropped pretty low. I remember listening to this song a lot, well actually the CD technically. M-flo is another band that makes me think of the 90s (even though they are very late 90's, and more 2000's). It just gives me that comforting feeling I had back then. Of course, this CD is not from the 90's, or anything like that, but still get that feeling. Like the last song I expect to here before 2000's would start (even though its from the 2000's). A remix of this song came out when Shadow the Hedgehog was released, I remember I was still kinda getting into the StH fandom, and I was like NO WAY! the whole time too hahaha.
Surreal - HOTEI (JP): (Flashing Seisure Warning) I kinda got in a weird 90s mode thanks to that WANDS video I posted. This song is what I think of when I think of someone Cool. To be honest, I could never remember the name of the song, so every time I would hear it in like a Store or something, I would like freeze and have to think what song it is and who sings it. lsakdfjsa nothign real special with it, just jot it down to more 90's crap I always listen to. I ended up buying the Hotei Collection just to have this song alksdjfasd I feel like If I buy it, I'll never forget ever again!
Mirai Iro - Plastic Tree (JP): GDI YuGiOh snuck its way onto this list again. When I was attending College in New York in the United States, I lived 2 blocks from my actual school. So every time I would walk to class, I would listen to this song. When It finished, I would play it again. Its the only song I seriously listened to when I was there. I would turn it up so loud to, I guess so I wouldn't have to talk to anyone (which you shouldn't do in citys anyways hahaha). It wasn't just cause it was YuGiOh, it was just super catchy at the time, and I guess I haven't heard it in a while, and my brain was ready for it over and over again.
